The Logistics of Mars
The journey takes roughly seven months. Once there, settlers will face extreme radiation, low gravity, and a thin atmosphere. Engineers are currently working on habitats that can be 3D-printed using Martian soil (regolith).
Why go? To ensure the survival of consciousness and to answer the fundamental question: Are we alone in the universe?
