A Leaner, Meaner Framework

Laravel 11 has arrived, bringing the most significant directory structure change since version 4. The goal is to make the framework feel lighter for beginners while maintaining "batteries-included" power for enterprise developers.

The Slimmed-down App Directory

You’ll notice that many default files in app/Http and app/Providers are gone. They have been moved into the framework core, but you can still customize them in bootstrap/app.php.

Laravel 11 also introduces Laravel Reverb, a first-party WebSocket server that makes real-time communication incredibly easy. Gone are the days of struggling with external Node.js services just to get a chat notification working.
